One Dramatic Influence

Christian photographer, the next time you’re asked what sets your photography apart will you have an answer?

For starters, consider how you would compose an image were God’s Spirit not guiding you:

• Your composition would suffer from a lack of understanding because you would be relying on what you know, rather than trusting God to help you interpret what is in front of your lens.

• A scene might generate no response from you at all, resulting in a lack of sensitivity and causing you to move on to photograph something else entirely.

Divine Insight

• The power of your finished image to communicate truth would be compromised.

• You would chase the glamour of the world.

• The connection between your image and your audience would be subliminally diminished or even worse, be lost.

• Self-promoting ideas would influence the outcome of your work.

The list goes on:

• You would wander without being able to juxtapose the present against the eternal.

• The light you would use would be applied differently.

• You would stand wherever you liked.

• You would wink at sin.

What else can be added to this list?
